This 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE has been registered in Texas since new and was acquired by the current owner in 2021. It is finished in silver over beige leather upholstery with black piping and is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a brush bar, roof rails, dual sunroofs and alpine windows, a rear ladder, automatic climate control, and a touchscreen Alpine head unit with a rear-view camera and smartphone connectivity. This Discovery has 120k miles and is offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the seller’s spouse with partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.
The Series II Discovery featured aluminum body panels, and this example is finished in silver. Exterior details include dual power sunroofs, tinted alpine windows, a brush bar, roof cross bars, fog lights, a rear ladder, and a receiver hitch. Exterior trim refreshment in 2020 included replacement of the windshield molding and cowl, drip rail moldings, and taillight lenses. The seller notes fading clear coat on the hood and roof as well as dings on the hood.
Factory 18″ alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. A full-size spare and Goodyear Wrangler HP tire are mounted on the tailgate and are protected by a Land Rover cover.
The cabin features two rows of seats trimmed in beige leather with black piping as well as a two-tone dashboard and door panels with suede inserts. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, burl wood trim, cruise control, hill-descent control, all-weather floor mats, dual-zone automatic climate control, adjustable front armrests, and a touchscreen Alpine head unit with smartphone connectivity and a rear-view camera.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. A digital odometer indicates 120k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.6-liter V8 produced 217 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque when new. Maintenance in 2019 included replacement of two oxygen sensors as well as the alternator, crank position sensor, and ignition system components. Work at British Unlimited of The Woodlands, Texas, in May 2021 included resealing the engine as well as replacement of the cylinder head gaskets and timing chain. The truck passed a Texas emissions inspection in June 2022.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas from new.
