This 1960 MG MGA 1600 Roadster is finished in white over red leather upholstery and is powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a retractable black soft top, dual SU carburetors, 15″ wire wheels, chrome bumpers with overriders, front disc brakes, and a Motorola AM stereo. The car is said to have spent several years in Ohio prior to the seller’s acquisition in 1990. This MGA is offered with removable side windows, a tonneau cover, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted white during previous ownership and features a retractable black soft top with clear vinyl windows. Additional exterior details include a fender-mounted mirror, chrome bumpers with overriders, hood vents, and a single exhaust outlet. Removable sliding glass door windows and a split tonneau cover are included in the sale. Blemishes on the body are shown up close in the gallery below.
Silver 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 165-series Starfire Sport Metric tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drum brakes, and service carried out during current ownership is said to have involved replacement of the brake calipers and wheel cylinders.
The cabin features low-back seats upholstered in red leather with a matching dash pad, door panels, and black carpeting covered by MG-branded floor mats. Amenities include map pockets, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater, and a Motorola AM stereo.
A four-spoke banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows under 85k miles, approximately 26k of which were added during current ownership.
The 1.6-liter inline-four is fitted with dual SU carburetors, and the seller states that the fuel pump and clutch slave cylinder have been replaced. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
The car is titled using the last five digits, 84511, of the serial number shown above.
