This 1964 Land Rover Series IIA is a left-hand-drive 88” wheelbase model that was sold in a December 2019 BaT auction and was acquired by the selling dealer in May 2022. The truck has been refinished in beige over black vinyl upholstery and is equipped with a Tropical Roof, cargo-area jump seats, a rear spotlight, and a Mantec spare-tire carrier. Power comes from a replacement 2.3-liter gasoline inline-four mated to a replacement four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This Series II is now offered with a clean Arizona title.
The truck is said to have been repainted in Sand Beige under previous ownership and features galvanized steel corner caps as well as a vented Tropical Roof. A spotlight is located over the rear door.
Beige-finished 16″ wheels are mounted with 235/85 Pathfinder Radial A/T tires, and a matching spare is attached to a Mantec carrier at the rear. The front axle is equipped with manually locking hubs.
Individual three-across front seats are upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels, while the rear utilizes inward-facing bench seats. Five lap belts are provided for the front and rear occupants. The dash is painted to match the body, and features include rubber floor mats cover the floors.
Centrally mounted instrumentation consists of a 75-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, less than 50 of which have been added since the 2019 auction. True mileage is unknown, and the fuel gauge is inoperable.
The carbureted gasoline-fueled 2.3L inline-four is said to be a replacement unit that utilizes a low compression ratio. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive as well as a dual-range transfer case. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
