This 1984 Chrysler Laser XE Turbo was reportedly purchased new from Cascade Chrysler Center in Roseburg, Oregon, and was acquired by the seller in July 2021. The car is finished in metallic brown with black accent stripes over a brown and tan velour checkerboard interior, and power is from a turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four driving the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transaxle. Features include alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, air conditioning, power windows, digital gauges, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, dual remote-controlled mirrors, and an Electronic Voice Alert system. A tune-up and alignment have reportedly been carried out under current ownership along with replacement of the valve cover gasket and passenger-side CV boots. This Laser XE Turbo has 17k miles and is offered with a car cover, service manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Saddle Brown Crystal and features black accent stripes, body-color bumper covers, a rear wing, and dual remote-controlled side mirrors.
Alloy wheels show oxidation and wear 185/70-14 Goodyear Assurance tires with 2018 date codes. The seller reports that the passenger-side side inner and outer CV boots were replaced and the car was aligned under current ownership.
The cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in brown and tan checkerboard velour together with matching door panels and brown carpets, the latter of which are protected by Laser-branded floor mats. Amenities include an inflatable lumbar support on the driver’s seat, air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, retractable cupholders, a center console, and an Electronic Voice Alert system. The edge of the front passenger’s seatbelt is frayed.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a digital dashboard with a diagonal tachometer, a speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 17k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller.
The turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four was factory rated at 146 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. A tune-up under current ownership reportedly included replacement of the spark plugs, ignition coil and wires, distributor cap and rotor, and valve cover gasket.
Power is sent to the front wheels via a three-speed automatic transaxle. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Oregon, Idaho, and California from April 2002 through its most recent entry in September 2021.
