This 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG spent time in Arizona and California through the seller’s acquisition in 2020 and is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission. Finished in Steel Gray Metallic over black leather upholstery, the car is equipped with 19″ wheels, a power-retractable hardtop, a wind deflector, bi-xenon headlights, Keyless Go, heated, ventilated and massage seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a Kenwood head unit. Service since 2020 consisted of replacing the intake manifold PCV valve, battery, brake pads, trunk lock, left-rear window regulator, and transmission fluid. This R230 SL63 AMG has 79k miles and is now offered with two key fobs, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Steel Gray Metallic and features a power-folding convertible hardtop. Additional details include bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, vented front fenders, and AMG bodywork consisting of a revised front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, and quad exhaust outlets. Bubbling is visible on the rear window trim. The trunk lock and left-rear window regulator have been replaced. An October 2016 entry of the Carfax report lists involvement in an accident resulting in “minor to moderate damage” to the left and front sides of the vehicle.
Aftermarket 19″ gray-finished wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 285/30 rear Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 tires. The car features Active Body Control suspension as well as electronic stability control, Automatic Slip Regulation (ASR), and an AMG High-Performance Braking System with cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. A replacement set of front and rear brake pads were fitted in January 2022. According to the seller, the tires are in need of replacement.
The features heated, ventilated and massage seats upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Wood trim accents the center stack and door panels, and amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a wind deflector, Airscarf neck and shoulder heating, Keyless Go, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a Kenwood head unit. A blemish is located on the passenger door panel, the digital clock does not reset, and the amplifier functions intermittently.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames AMG-branded instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 79k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 6.2-liter M156 V8 was factory rated at 518 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. A replacement battery was fitted in January 2022 and the intake manifold PCV valve and gaskets were replaced in February 2020. The car passed an emissions inspection in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a paddle-shifted seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission with comfort, sport, and manual modes. The transmission fluid and filter were replaced in January 2022.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident in 2016 and lists history in California and Arizona.
