This 2002 Chevrolet Camaro hardtop coupe is one of 36 Hot Rod Magazine Edition cars modified by GMMG of Marietta, Georgia, to commemorate 36 years of the Camaro. Created in partnership with Berger Chevrolet of Grand Rapids, Michigan, this example was acquired by the seller from the original owner in 2021. Power is provided by a Phase II 5.7-liter LS1 V8 linked with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional modifications include a cat-back chambered exhaust system, Eibach lowering springs, chrome 17″ Crager SS wheels, and cross-drilled brake rotors with red-finished calipers. The car is finished in Bright Rally Red over a two-tone leather interior, and factory equipment includes an integrated rear spoiler, a Hurst short-throw shifter, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, and an eight-speaker Monsoon audio system. This F-body Camaro has 537 miles and is offered with Chevrolet and GMMG window stickers, manufacturer’s literature, a 2002 dyno sheet, Hot Rod Magazine Camaro-branded floor mats, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The hardtop coupe body is finished in Bright Rally Red with Hot Rod Magazine Edition and Berger Chevrolet badging as well as white 1969-style hockey stick stripes denoting the 435-horsepower Phase II Package specification. Additional exterior details include an integrated rear spoiler, a black tail panel, and fog lamps.
Chrome 17″ Crager SS wheels are wrapped with BFGoodrich GForce T/A tires. The car is equipped with progressive-rate Eibach lowering springs, while stopping power is provided by red-finished calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in black leather with red inserts and Hot Rod Magazine Edition embroidery in the headrests. Equipment includes a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a Hurst short-throw shifter with a black shift knob, air conditioning, cruise control, and an eight-speaker Monsoon audio system with a CD changer.
Silver-dial instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer, a Hot Rod Magazine Edition-branded tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 537 miles.
A plaque on the center stack identifies the car as a Hot Rod Magazine Edition with number 1983 to commemorate the 17th model year of the Camaro.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was fitted with the Phase II Package from GMMG of Marietta, Georgia, which added an ECU tune along with a ported and polished throttle body and an upgraded camshaft, valvetrain components, cylinder heads, and exhaust headers. A plaque on the high-flow airbox lid denotes horsepower, torque, engine displacement, and compression ratio.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is equipped with a chambered dual-exhaust system.
The window sticker from GMMG lists initial delivery to Berger Chevrolet of Grand Rapids, Michigan, along with installed package content and a total vehicle MSRP price of $46,005. The Chevrolet window sticker can be viewed in the gallery and is included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, a 2002 dyno sheet, and Hot Rod Magazine Camaro-branded floor mats.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Michigan and South Carolina. A gap in entries is visible between 2005 and 2021.
