This 1982 Porsche 911SC was acquired by the seller in 2018, after which the car was backdated with early-style bodywork and was refinished in silver and orange. The black interior was modified with fixed-back bucket seats, simplified door panels, and an aftermarket shifter, and under previous ownership the 3.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt. Equipment includes a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential, 16″ Fuchs wheels, disc brakes, Boge front struts, Bilstein rear shocks, an integrated front lip, a rear spoiler, driving lights, and a Blaupunkt stereo. This modified 911 SC 3.0 is now offered with build records and photos, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Under current ownership in 2018 the car was backdated with a long hood and early-style bumpers, and the body was refinished in silver with orange bumpers and rocker panels. Features include hood-mounted driving lights, HID headlights, an integrated front lip with provision for an oil cooler, a ducktail spoiler with Carrera RS script, rocker stripes, and fender decals.
Fuchs 16″ wheels are mounted with staggered Continental ExtremeContact DW Tuned tires that show 2015 date codes. The seller states that under previous ownership the brake pads were replaced and steel-braided brake hoses were installed along with Boge front struts and Bilstein rear shocks.
The black interior has been modified with fixed-back BF Torino bucket seats, simplified door panels, and an aftermarket shifter. A Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette stereo is located in the dash. The air-conditioning system has been removed, and the seller notes a rip in the headliner.
A Momo steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a clocked tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, combination gauges, and an analog clock. The six-digit odometer shows 190k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller.
The fuel-injected 3.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt in 2014 under previous ownership. Other work included rebuilding and recurving the distributor as well as installing steel cylinder-head studs, SSI heat exchangers, and an M&K muffler.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed 915 manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Under previous ownership the gearbox was rebuilt and the clutch assembly was replaced according to the seller. Additional images of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
Photos toward the end of the gallery show the engine during the rebuild as well as receipts for the work.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other damage and lists activity in Virginia, Georgia, and California beginning in 1988. The car failed a California emissions inspection in January 2022 and passed later that month.
