This 1964 Chevrolet El Camino is finished in red over beige and powered by a supercharged 355ci V8 paired with a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a Trutrac differential with 3.55:1 gears. Features include a 6-71 Dyers supercharger, World Products cylinder heads, dual Holley 750cfm carburetors, Hooker Headers, aftermarket trailing arms, KYB shock absorbers, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, power steering, power front disc brakes, and 15″ Wheel Vintiques wheels with trim rings. The car was acquired by the owner in 1993 and is said to have been refurbished and modified in 2003. This El Camino is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records and a clean Indiana title.
The car is finished in Palomar Red and is said to have been repainted in 2003. Features include a fiberglass hood, driver-side mirror, fold-down tailgate, painted bed floor, supercharged badging, quad headlamps, chrome bumpers, bright rocker trim, and side-outlet exhaust finishers. A 15-gallon RCI aluminum fuel cell is mounted in the bed. There are some bubbles in the paint.
The staggered Wheel Vintiques wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with Yokohama tires. A full-size spare is mounted behind the bench seat. The car is equipped with power steering, KYB shock absorbers, Jegs tubular lower trailing arms, Edelbrock trailing arm braces, and adjustable rear upper trailing arms. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. A line-lock brake system is installed.
The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in fawn vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a Hurst T-Handle shifter, a dash-mounted ignition switch, Crow lap harnesses, crank windows, polished door sills, and a Delco push-button radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a column-mounted tachometer, 120-mph speedometer, and a multifunction gauge. Four AutoMeter Phantom gauges are mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added during current ownership.
The 355ci V8 features a 6-71 Dyers supercharger, an air scoop, an Edelbrock water pump and valve covers, World Products cylinder heads, dual Holley 750cfm carburetors, Hooker Headers, Moroso ignition wires, and an MSD electronic Ignition system. The engine is said to have been built with a 355ci four-bolt main block, a polished crankshaft, a Comp Cams camshaft and hydraulic roller lifters, high-performance pistons, double crankshaft keyways, Clevite bearings, and a Milodon oil pump. An aluminum radiator with a thermostat-controlled 16″ electric fan has been fitted.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. A Moser nine-inch rear axle, a Detroit TrueTrac differential, Strange Engineering nodular third member, Zoom competition clutch, and 3.55:1 Richmond gears are said to have been installed during current ownership. A three-inch aluminized dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers is installed.
