This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is finished in metallic blue over blue leather and powered by a 500ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes a power-operated blue soft top, a body-color parade boot, chrome trim, 15″ wheels with whitewall tires, power-adjustable front seats, power windows and locks, and an AM/FM stereo with an 8-track player. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2015 from the family of the reported original owner, and subsequent work is said to have consisted of repainting the body and replacing the soft top, tires, water pump, and radiator. This Eldorado shows 35k miles and is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with Rhode Island registration.
The car was finished at the factory in Innsbruck Blue Metallic (28) and was reportedly repainted in 2021. The power-operated blue soft top and hydraulics are said to have been replaced at this time, and additional exterior features include a chrome grille, bumpers, and trim, a body-color parade boot, and a heated glass rear window.
The 15″ steel wheels wear black Cadillac-logo hubcaps and 235/75 American Classic whitewall tires that were reportedly mounted in 2015. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the ball joints and wheel bearings.
The power-adjustable front seats and rear bench are trimmed in light blue leather and are joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and door panels, and equipment includes cruise control, power windows and locks, lap belts, and a push-button AM/FM 8-track stereo. The air conditioning and the power antenna do not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a woodgrain inlay and frames a horizontal-sweep 100-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 35k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 500ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. The water pump and radiator are said to have been replaced under current ownership and an oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the front wheels via a three-speed automatic transaxle. Additional underside images are provided in the gallery below.
