This 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo coupe is finished in Light Sandalwood Pearl Metallic over a beige interior and is powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter OHC inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 16” aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic ride control suspension, automatic climate control, and an AM/FM stereo with a graphic equalizer. The car was recently acquired by the seller, and a tune-up was reportedly performed in April 2022. This Turbo Coupe shows 57k miles and is now offered with a Carfax report and a clean West Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Light Sandalwood Pearl Metallic (63) and features a Turbo-specific front fascia, dual intercooler hood scoops, black side moldings with red accents, power-adjustable mirrors, fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows an accident in October 1988 that resulted in “minor damage” to the front of the car.
Silver 16″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 225/60 Goodyear Eagle tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and the car is equipped with automatic ride control and a four-shock rear suspension.
The cabin houses power-adjustable front seats that are trimmed in beige cloth upholstery along with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include electronic climate control, cruise control, a digital clock, and an AM/FM stereo with a graphic equalizer.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a 95-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the seller.
The turbocharged 2.3-liter OHC inline-four was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with an air-to-air intercooler and electronic fuel injection. A tune-up is said to have been performed in April 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage report and lists history in Ohio and West Virginia beginning in December 1993.
