This 1955 Chevrolet pickup is finished in red over red upholstery and powered by a 6.0-liter V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The truck was reportedly acquired by the seller in August 2018 and subsequently refurbished with work including installing the engine, a Mustang II front suspension, front disc brakes, power steering, a 1988 Monte Carlo rear axle, Vintage Air air conditioning, a JBL Bluetooth stereo, and a Kicker subwoofer. Additional equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, a wood-lined bed, and a floor-mounted shifter. This pickup is offered with a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted in red under previous ownership, and features include side mirrors, chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, and a wood-lined bed. Corrosion is present on the bumpers and grille, and additional body imperfections can be referenced in the gallery.
The 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings along with 235/70 Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs with rear drums, and additional modifications completed under current ownership include installing a Mustang II front suspension and power rack and pinion steering. Corrosion is present on the trim rings.
The cab features a bench seat upholstered in red vinyl joined by a matching headliner, a body-colored dashboard, black door panel inserts, and black carpets. Equipment includes Vintage Air air conditioning, vent windows, a floor-mounted shifter, a locking glovebox, and a JBL Bluetooth stereo, and a Kicker subwoofer.
The three-spoke aftermarket steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer and gauges displaying coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 4,500 miles, all of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 6.0-liter V8 was sourced from a 2004 Chevrolet van and is equipped with an Edelbrock intake and carburetor along with an aluminum radiator. The oil and filter were changed in February 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a rear axle reportedly sourced from a 1988 Monte Carlo.
The Pennsylvania title notes an “Antique Vehicle” brand.
