This 2012 Volkswagen Golf R is a two-door example finished in dark gray over black leather upholstery and powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a six-speed manual transaxle and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. Additional equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with washers, a South Bend Stage 2 clutch, an Integrated Engineering air intake, 18” Talladega wheels, a Black Forest Industries shift knob, heated front seats, and a touchscreen display. The car spent time in multiple states prior to the current owner’s acquisition in 2021. This Golf R has 52k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean Colorado title in the owner’s name.

The two-door body was not optioned with a sunroof and is finished in gray with Golf R-specific bodywork consisting of a revised front fascia, side skirts, and rear bumper cover. Paint protection film has been applied to the front, and additional details include bi-xenon headlights with washers, fog lights, tinted side markers, a rear spoiler, a blacked-out rear VW badge, and dual exhaust outlets. Portions of the protective film are peeling, cracks are located on the front grille, a scuff is noted on the front bumper cover, and blemishes are visible on the body.

Silver-finished 18” Talladega wheels are mounted with 225/45 Pirelli P Zero tires with the oldest date code being from 2015. A space-saver spare is located beneath the trunk floor. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes fitted with black R-script calipers. Curb damage is visible on the left-front and right-rear wheels.

The bolstered and heated front seats are trimmed in black leather and feature R-logos embroidered on the headrests. Carpeted floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, aluminum pedal covers, a rear cargo cover, cruise control, a Black Forest Industries shift knob, and an infotainment system with a 6.5″ touchscreen display.

A flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel fronts a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 18k of which were added during current ownership.

The turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter inline-four has been modified with an Integrated Engineering air intake. An oil change was performed in December 2021.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. A South Bend Stage 2 clutch has been fitted. Corrosion is noted on the underside, additional images of which are viewable in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida, New Jersey, New York, Arizona, Illinois, and Colorado.
