This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is a running project that was acquired by the owner in 2005 and was recently removed from an extended period of storage. The car is finished in faded red over black vinyl upholstery and is fitted with a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, a removable hardtop, 15″ turbine wheels with three-eared knock-off spinners, white-stripe tires, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a four-barrel carburetor. This Corvette project is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a spare hood and a Washington title.
The fiberglass body is finished in faded red, and body repairs are shown on the driver-side door. Features include a black convertible soft top, a removable hardtop, a flip-up gas cap, cast rocker accents, hood and fender vents, concealed headlamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear valance. A spare 1963-style hood is included in the sale. The paint is cracked and flaking, and the chrome bumpers are pitted.
The 15″ turbine-style wheels wear three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with older white-stripe tires. The car is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and hydraulic drums at all four corners.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl joined by a matching dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, reverse lock-out shifter, an electric clock, polished door sills, lap belts, crank windows, and a vertical AM/FM radio. The driver’s door panel is dismounted, and the carpets are soiled.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, gauges for fuel level, battery charge, coolant temperature, and oil pressure, and a dash-mounted ignition switch. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 10k of which were added under current ownership. The steering wheel horn button is missing.
The replacement 327ci V8 features an Edelbrock intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, an Accel distributor, Taylor ignition wires, and Corvette script valve covers. The engine was started in June 2022, and mechanical sorting will be required prior to use.
A four-speed manual transmission is fitted. Corrosion is visible on suspension and exhaust components. Removed and spare parts are shown in the gallery.
The Washington title lists a “Classic” brand.
