This 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 was sold new by Cunningham Oldsmobile of Kansas City, Missouri, and is said to have remained with one owner before being acquired by the selling dealer in January 2022. The car is finished in black over gray cloth upholstery and is powered by a 307ci V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 15″ Super Stock III wheels, a power-operated glass sunroof, power-assisted steering and brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, a tilt steering column, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. This 442 shows 3k miles and is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kansas title.
The car is finished in black with silver lower body cladding that is separated by a gold pinstripe, and 442 graphics are present on the doors, front bumper, and trunk lid. Additional exterior details include quad headlights, stainless steel body and window trim, a power-operated glass sunroof, tinted windows, and dual side-exit exhaust outlets.
Chrome 15″ Super Stock III wheels feature gold-finished insets with 442 center caps and are mounted with 215/65 Goodyear Eagle GT tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drum brakes.
The cabin is trimmed in gray cloth upholstery with a matching dashboard, door panels, carpets, and floor mats. Wood trim accents the center console, dash, and doors, and additional appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a rear window defroster, red 442 badging, and a Delco AM/FM cassette stereo with an analog equalizer. The headliner on the sunroof cover is sagging.
The leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows just over 3k miles.
The 307ci V8 is equipped with a dual-snorkel air cleaner with a chrome lid, a computer-controlled four-barrel carburetor, and electronic ignition. Factory-rated output was 170 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. The hood insulator mat has a tear, and the selling dealer states that service carried out in January 2022 included an oil change, draining the fuel tank, and replacement of the battery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed TH200-4R automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underbody photos are included in the gallery below.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Kansas and Missouri.
