This 1968 Ford Mustang coupe is finished in red over black vinyl and is powered by a 200ci inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black vinyl roof, 14″ steel wheels with covers, and an AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2015, and subsequent work included repair of the trunk and inner firewall along with replacement of sections of the floor. This Mustang is now offered with a clean Nebraska title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished in Yellow (W) from the factory and was painted in its present shade of red under prior ownership. Features include a black vinyl roof cover, chrome trim, a driver-side mirror, and a single-exit exhaust.
The 14″ steel wheels wear wire-spoke covers and 195/75 Goodyear white-stripe tires. Braking is handled by unassisted four-wheel drums, and a full-size spare wheel is located in the trunk.
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl and are joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional equipment includes vent windows, polished door trim, a floor-mounted shifter lever, and an AM/FM radio. The left and right toe boards were replaced in 2017 when holes in the trunk were also repaired.
The two-spoke steering wheel features woodgrain trim and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and alternator charging status. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 200ci Thriftmaster inline-six features a single-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. A hole in the engine bay was repaired in 2017, at which time repairs were also made to the left and right inner firewalls.
Frame rails and sections of the floor were replaced in 2017. Rust is visible on the underside components, additional images of which are provided in the gallery.
