This 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser ZX is a right-hand-drive example that was imported from Japan to the US in 2018 by the seller. Work performed in May 2022 included replacement of the connecting rod bearings, front axle seals, water pump, and timing belt assembly, along with an alignment and servicing of the differential and transfer case fluids. The truck is finished in Bluish Silver Metallic and Blue Slate Metallic over grey cloth upholstery, and power is provided by a diesel 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Amenities include manually-locking front hubs, an Old Man Emu suspension lift kit, aluminum 15″ wheels, running boards, wheel arch flares, side window visors, an aftermarket steering wheel, a Pioneer touchscreen stereo, air conditioning, and shock-absorbing front seats. This HZJ77 is offered with recent service records, import documents, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in two-tone Bluish Silver Metallic and Blue Slate Metallic (26P) with chrome trim accenting the grille, bumpers, and side mirror caps. Features include wheel arch flares, running boards, a rear-mounted spare tire, a parking mirror, headlight washers, mudflaps, and window visors, along with LED headlights and taillights. The roof and hood were refinished in May 2021, reportedly due to fading. The windshield was also replaced at that time and has since been repaired.
Aluminum 15″ wheels finished in black are wrapped in 33×12.5″ Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires. The truck is equipped with an Old Man Emu suspension lift kit and steering stabilizer along with locking front hubs. The front axle knuckles were overhauled and an alignment was performed in May 2022.
The cabin features seats upholstered in grey cloth with patterned inserts, and matching upholstery extends to the door panels. Checkered grey and black floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include shock-absorbing front seats with power-operated lumbar support and adjustable side bolsters, along with air conditioning, a Pioneer touchscreen stereo, a center console armrest with integrated cupholders, power windows, and LED cabin lighting. The right rear power door lock is non-functional and photos of cracks on the dashboard are viewable in the gallery below.
An aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 170-km/h speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for oil pressure, battery voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 250k kilometers (~156k miles), approximately 28k of which were added by the seller.
The diesel 4.2-liter 1HZ inline-six was factory rated at 129 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The connecting rod bearings were replaced by Extra Mile Performance of Odenton, Maryland in May 2022, along with the timing belt and water pump assembly. Photos from the connecting rod bearing replacement service are viewable in the gallery below.
Power is delivered to all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The differential and transfer case fluids were serviced in May 2022. Areas of corrosion along the underside are viewable in the gallery below.
